SUMMERSIDE – April 29, 2016 – Thirteen employers, entrepreneurs and economic developers greatly benefitted from a workshop entitled “How To Increase My Profits”, delivered by Nova Scotian consultant Ron Robichaud, April 28, in Summerside.
He provided them with concrete methods to better understand their financial statements, establish profitability objectives and even set prices for their merchandise or services.
Robichaud showed them that by translating their costs and revenues into percentages, it is much easier to determine the weak points in their financial structure.
Noting that most businesses only a profit of one per cent, he showed them how to aim for 10 per cent. “Take care of your pennies and your dollars will take care of themselves,” he repeated.
Thanks to sponsorship from the CBDC Central PEI, the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and the Wellington Rural Action Centre jointly hosted the workshop.
