Looking for Island businesses for second sales mission to Montreal

mapCHARLOTTETOWN – July 7, 2016 – RDÉE Prince Edward Island is looking for eight PEI businesses that have the capacity to communicate in French to participate in a sales mission to Montreal, QC, this October.

“Last fall, our first sales mission was a tremendous success: the six participating businesses were able to negotiate sales contracts worth about $250,000,” says Robert Maddix, economic development officer with RDÉE PEI who is coordinating the mission.

He explains after the participating businesses have been confirmed, a consulting firm will be hired to set up at least six meetings with potential Quebec buyers for each participant. The Island firms will also be guided in the preparation of their sales pitch.

“What we’re looking for specifically are businesses that offer services or products from PEI and that are ready to export to Quebec,” adds Maddix. “Participants will be reimbursed 40 per cent of the travel, lodging and meal costs incurred during the mission.”

All interested companies are urged to immediately contact Robert Maddix at (902) 370-7333, Ext. 403, or at robert@rdeeipe.org to get more details or to register.
