Island businesses and organizations invited to fill out survey on green economy

CHARLOTTETOWN – March 10, 2017 – The PEI and Canadian economy is rapidly changing to become greener and more viable and sustainable.

RDÉE Prince Edward Island, the provincial francophone economic development council, has hired Think Forward Solutions (Mathieu Arsenault) to manage a survey to better understand the state of the developing green economy on PEI and to identify potential employment opportunities in this sector.

« The green economy is comprised of all businesses and organizations that take any action with the intention of reducing resource consumption, harmful emissions and forms of environmental impact, » explains Arsenault.

The survey, which will take between four and nine minutes to complete, is aimed at all Island businesses and organizations, both Anglophone and Francophone. The deadline to complete the survey is March 31, 2017.

To encourage participation, organizers will make a random draw for a $100 among all who fill out the survey and provide their name. The survey can also be filled anonymously but those who do so won’t be eligible for the prize.

All PEI businesses are urged to fill out the fill out the survey. The English version can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RPSLRNT.

This undertaking is part of a multi-province initiative lead by RDÉE Canada’s Working Group on Youth Economic Issues.
