ABRAM-VILLAGE – April 10, 2021 – RDÉE Prince Edward Island and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI were honoured to induct 17 business people into their new Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame of PEI on Saturday, April 10. Here’s a chance for you the chance to relive the presentation of their induction certificates.
The late René Maddix of Maddix Construction of Urbainville has just been inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Several of his children and grandchildren accepted the induction certificate from Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
The late Alphonse Arsenault of Wellington Construction in Abram-Village was inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, presented the certificate of induction to his widow Florence Arsenault-Gillis and his daughter Louise Nightingale.
The late Adélard Gallant, fisherman/lobbyist/volunteer from Cape Egmont, was recently inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Four of his children accepted his induction certificate from Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI.
Frank Legault of PEI Pest Control in Charlottetown was inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame on Saturday. His children and grandchildren accepted his certificate on his behalf. Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, made the presentation.
The late Tilmon Arsenault of Cape Egmont Enterprises is among the first group of entrepreneurs to be inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. His widow Irène Arsenault and three of his sons – Jules, Michel and Gérald – accepted his certificate from Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
The late Léo S. Arsenault, formerly of Lane Farm in Abram-Village, was recently inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, presented the induction certificate to three of Léo’s children – Jean-Guy, Gilles and Murielle – during the induction ceremonies on Saturday.
Ivan Arsenault of Wellington, formerly of Ivan’s Garage, has just been inducted into the Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame of PEI. Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, presented him with his certificate. His wife Antoinette and their future daughter-in-law Josée Ouellette were also present.
The late Richard Bernard, former owner of Eye Care Optical in Summerside, is among the first group of entrepreneurs to be inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. His widow Rita Bernard accepted his certificate from Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
The late Alyre Arsenault, former owner of AJL Contractors Ltd. in St-Philippe, was also inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame on Saturday. Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, presented the induction certificate to his son, Stephen Arsenault, the current owner of the business.
Réjeanne Arsenault, former owner of The Bottle Houses in Cap-Egmont, has been inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Since Mrs. Arsenault could not attend the ceremony, Bonnie Gallant accepted her certificate from Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
Henri and Gloria Gallant, former owners of HMS Office Supplies in Summerside, were both inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame on Saturday. Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, presented them with their induction certificates.
Julien Arsenault, former owner of the Sanford-Arsenault Farm in Mont-Carmel, is among the first group of entrepreneurs to be inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. His wife Alvina Arsenault, his daughters Anne Arsenault and Darlene Sanford and his son-in-law Louis Arsenault accepted his certificate from Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
Italo Marzari, former owner of Sirenella Ristorante in Charlottetown, was honoured to be inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame on Saturday. He and his wife Lise accepted the certificate from Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
Roger Arsenault, former insurance representative for The Co-operators in Wellington, was recognized for his efforts on Saturday by being inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Pierre Gallant, spokesperson for the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, presented him with his certificate.
Jeannette Arsenault, former co-owner of Cavendish Figurines/Shop & Play in Borden-Carleton, was recently inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, presented her with her certificate.
Ray Brow, of Britannia Corporation/Überloo International, of Georgetown Royalty, is among the first group of entrepreneurs inducted into the PEI Acadian and Francophone Business Hall of Fame. As he was unable to attend the induction ceremony on Saturday, Alfred Arsenault of Évangéline-Central Credit Union (permanent sponsor of the Hall) accepted his certificate on his behalf. Christian Lacroix, president of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, made the presentation.
The next day, Mr. Brow attended the Entrepreneurs’ Gala and received his induction certificate.
