WELLINGTON – Nov. 22, 2023 – Thanks to two community activities organized during the recent Co-op and Small Business Week, the Wellington Co-op has just contributed the handsome sum of $557.50 to improve the ABCD Park, a children’s playground located at Évangéline School in Abram-Village. Co-op store manager Chris O’Brien recently presented the cheque to Diane McInnis, a representative of the school’s Parents’ Committee, which is raising funds for the park.

One portion of the money came from donations received during the Wellington Co-op Barbecue and other occasions since then. The other portion was raised through a silent auction sale of items knitted by local seniors. The knitting contest was organized and sponsored jointly by various economic, co-operative and community organizations from the Evangeline region.
