PROGRAMME DE TRADUCTION WEB (PROJET PILOTE)
CLIENTS VISÉS : Ce projet pilote, financé par l’Agence de promotion économique du Canada atlantique, vise appuyer les entreprises, les coopératives et les organismes de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard voulant faire traduire leur site web ou leur matériel web, surtout de l’anglais vers le français. (Ce programme vise surtout les textes de base des sites, plutôt que les ventes de la semaine, les nouvelles, les bulletins et les mises à jour régulières.)
APPUIS OFFERTS : Le Programme de traduction web couvre 75 % des frais de traduction de sites web ou matériaux web, jusqu’à une contribution maximale de 2 000 $, pour des projets approuvés pour des clients éligibles. (Chaque projet pourrait avoir une valeur maximale de 2 666 $. Le client serait alors responsable de payer 25 % des frais, donc 666 $, à l’avance. Le client devrait aussi payer à l’avance tout montant dépassant le seuil du programme.) Les administrateurs du programme assigneront un traducteur / une traductrice agré.é / certifié.é au projet.
PROCÉDURE :
• Le client intéressé à faire traduire son site web ou du matériel web remplit le formulaire de demande de contribution au bas de cette page, fournissant une description de base de l’entreprise et du matériel web à faire traduire (incluant le type de matériel et le nombre approximatif de mots à traduire) ainsi que l’échéancier visé. Il peut s’agir de matériel pas encore affiché sur le web ou déjà sur son site.
• Les responsables du programme évaluent la demande et déterminent son éligibilité. Ils identifient alors un traducteur / traductrice agré.é / certifié.e de leur réseau pour s’occuper de la traduction, obtiennent son estimé de prix et confirment l’échéance.
• Les responsables du programme présentent au client l’estimé total ainsi qu’une offre maximale de contribution. Lorsque les trois partis se sont entendus sur les modalités, ils sont demandés de signer une entente traduction.
• Le client paie sa portion des frais du projet au RDÉE Île-du-Prince-Édouard.
• Le traducteur / la traductrice est donc mis.e en contact direct avec le client pour bien cerner les besoins particuliers du client et pour rendre la communication davantage efficace.
• Lorsque le travail de traduction est complété, le traducteur / la traductrice envoie les documents au client et est payé par le RDÉE ÎPÉ.
À NOTER :
• Le 25 % des coûts de traduction que doit couvrir le client ne peut pas provenir d’une autre source fédérale.
• Le client est entièrement responsable pour toute dépense supplémentaire de traduction non couverte par l’entente. Il est sa responsabilité de payer à l’avance au RDÉE ÎPÉ tout ouvrage non couvert par l’entente.
• Le programme ne finance aucunement la traduction de matériel illégal, immoral, incitant la violence ou de style allant à l’encontre des normes de la société insulaire de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard ou du Canada.
• Le RDÉE ÎPÉ se réserve le droit de fermer le programme lorsque les fonds de traduction sont épuisés.

WEB TRANSLATION PROGRAM (PILOT PROJECT)
INTENDED CLIENTS: This pilot project, funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, is designed to support Prince Edward Island businesses, co-operatives and organizations wishing to have their website or web material translated, primarily from English to French. (This program focuses on basic website text, rather than weekly sales, news, bulletins and regular updates.)
SUPPORT AVAILABLE: The Web Translation Program will cover 75% of the cost of translating websites or web materials, up to a maximum contribution of $2,000, for projects approved for eligible clients. (Each project could have a maximum value of $2,666. The customer would then be responsible for paying 25% of the cost, which would be $666 in advance. The client would also be responsible for paying in advance any costs surpassing the program’s maximum value.) Program administrators will assign a certified translator to the project.
PROCEDURE :
• Clients interested in having their website or web material translated complete the Contribution Request Form at the bottom of this page, providing a basic description of the company and the web material to be translated (including the type of material and approximate number of words to be translated), as well as the targeted timeline. The material can be material that has not yet been posted on the web or can already be on the company’s website.
• Program managers evaluate the request and determine its eligibility. They then identify a licensed/certified translator from their network to handle the translation, obtain an estimate and confirm the translator’s ability to meet the deadline.
• The program managers present the client with a maximum contribution offer. Once all three parties have agreed on the terms, they are asked to sign a translation agreement.
• The client must pay his/her portion of the project cost to RDÉE Prince Edward Island.
• The translator is then put in direct contact with the client to ensure the client’s specific needs are understood and to make communication more efficient.
• When the translation is complete, the translator sends the documents to the client and is paid by RDÉE PEI.
PLEASE NOTE:
• The 25% of translation costs to be covered by the customer cannot come from any other federal source.
• The customer is entirely responsible for any additional translation expenses not covered by the agreement. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay RDÉE PEI in advance for any additional work not covered by the agreement.
• The program does not fund the translation of material that is illegal, immoral, incites violence or is contrary to the standards of the Prince Edward Island or Canadian society.
• RDÉE PEI reserves the right to close the program when translation funds are depleted.
