Networking opportunity yields immediate results

SUMMERSIDE – Nov. 15, 2013 – Representatives of RDÉE Prince Edward Island, the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI (CCAFLIPE) and the Wellington Rural Action Centre had the opportunity to meet about 100 business people at their shared booth during a Nov. 14 business mixer in Summerside.

These three partners were at their annual participation in a mixer organized by the Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce to get better known and to promote their services. They succeeded in establishing important contacts as well as in solidifying relationships and in setting up meetings with partners.

During their minute at the podium, they announced that the CCAFLIPE and the Centre Belle-Alliance will be hosting the Summerside Chamber’s May mixer. As well, at least one of the CCAFLIPE members who attended the event succeeded in gaining several new clients.

In the first photo, RDÉE executive director Bonnie Gallant, left, and Jeannine Arsenault, client information officer with the Wellington Rural Action Centre, are seen chatting with Summerside Chamber president Patrick McSweeney.

Each time it participates in business mixers, the CCAFLIPE has a draw for a nice door prize. This time, it had a computer bag, a print by artist Noella Richard and a RDÉE water bottle, together worth $80. In the second photo, the happy winner Stephanie Arnold from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, centre, gladly accepts her gifts from RDÉE employees Mélissa Bouffard, left, tourism development officer, and Amy Richard, financial administrative assistant.
