Radio-Canada Acadie returning as event sponsor
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI – Feb. 21, 2014 – For a second year in a row, the host of the French morning radio show “Le Réveil”, produced by Radio-Canada Acadie, will lend his recognizable, solid and animated voice to the Acadian Entrepreneurs’ Gala.
« The host, Denis Duchesne, will pre-record the biographies of the finalists of our 2014 Lauriers de la PME and 2015 Young Millionaires awards so that we can play them while we’re presenting biographical photos of these businesses on the big screen, » explains gala coordinator Raymond J. Arsenault. “With Duchesne’s professional radio voice, we are assured of a quality vocal tone that is both pleasing to the ear and that will easily retain everyone’s attention for the whole evening.”
He adds that the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI and RDÉE Prince Edward Island, the event’s organizers, are extremely grateful for this marvelous contribution from Duchesne and Radio-Canada Acadie.
The Gala, already at its 13th edition, will take place Saturday, March 15, at the Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside. The evening begins with a stand-up reception in the Pierre-Part Lounge at 5:30 p.m. The banquet follows at 6 p.m. Arsenault will once again serve as master of ceremonies.
Tickets for the Gala are on sale until March 7 at the Centre as well as at the RDÉE PEI offices in Charlottetown and Summerside at $30 plus HST ($34.50) each for members and $35 plus HST ($40.25) each for non-members. Employees, friends, colleagues and families of all finalists are urged to attend, as are all members of the Chamber.
Among the confirmed sponsors confirmed so far are the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, the PEI Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Rural Development, CBDC Central PEI, Radio-Canada Acadie, The Co-operators (Mike Bradley Insurance Services Ltd.) and the Royal Bank of Canada.
