CHARLOTTETOWN – April 16, 2015 – Eleven people attended a lunch-and-learn Thursday, April 16, in Charlottetown to learn more about a new Entrepreneurial Coaching Program for immigrants but especially to hear testimonials from a coach and her apprentice.

Jeannette Arsenault, second from right, owner of Cavendish Figurines, hosted the program’s first participant, William Yin, second from left. Since he is looking to establish a company that organizes tours of PEI, Arsenault served as his tour guide as he discovered every nick and cranny of the province.

Picking from her own experience, she offered him a wide variety of suggestions to help refine his plan. Yin, who is a newcomer to the Island, found her experience with Arsenault to be extremely informative; in fact, it changed his whole comprehension of tourism. At the same time, Arsenault learned a lot about Yin’s culture of origin.

The coaching program was established through RDÉE PEI’s LIENS project (Linking Economic Immigration to our Successes). Seen with the guest speakers are LIENS coordinator Catherine Rioux and lunch-and-learn participant Jean Allain from Atlantic Roofers.
