Another hybrid mission organized to sell Island products in Montreal and surrounding areas

CHARLOTTETOWN – April 27, 2023 – RDÉE Prince Edward Island is hoping for good luck as it conducts its 13th sales mission to Montreal and surrounding areas May 15-26. In fact, coordinator Robert Maddix and the nine Island companies participating in the mission are keeping their fingers crossed, hoping that some very good sales contracts will result.

« Our last few missions have generated combined sales of over $1 million each. We are hoping that our 13th mission will also achieve excellent results as our bilingual Island businesses attempt to sell a variety of products and services to 120 potential buyers, » said Maddix.

Participating companies this time are:
1. Kaneshii Vinyl Press of West Royalty – vinyl record pressing (Ghislaine Cormier);
2. Can Bliss Beverage Inc. of Charlottetown – cannabis-infused non-alcoholic wine (Sarra Jayasinghe);
3. Safety Pro Inc (Clean Cut Solutions) of Kensington – food cutting boards (Dennis Arsenault);
4. TrackTile of Cornwall – manufacturing management software (Jordan Rose and Jarrett Kenny);
5. The Shed Coffee Corp. of Charlottetown – coffee and cold coffee drinks (Hai Nguyen);
6. Align Consulting/Solutions Arrimage of Rustico – strategic planning (Nathalie Arsenault);
7. Revenue Optimization Consultant of Charlottetown – hotel revenue optimization consultant (Mathieu Arsenault);
8. La FrencHouse Inc. of Charlottetown – French language training (Nathaly Kancel);
9. Luther Lather Shaving Creamery of Charlottetown – premium shaving cream (Olin Penna).

The first six companies on the list will participate in person from May 15-19. Companies 7 and 8 on the list will participate in their meetings virtually during the week of May 22-26. The last company, Luther Lather, already participated in four of his meetings during a recent trip to Montreal to attend a trade show; he will complete his remaining eight meetings virtually the last week of the mission.

Each of the companies participated in individualized online training sessions with Clientis, the match-making consulting firm from Quebec, to perfect their sales pitches. Clientis also fixed a dozen meetings with potential buyers, for each of the Island companies, so that they could try to sell their products or services. Some of the companies have already participated in past missions but wanted to meet other potential clients or to revisit buyers they had already met.

In addition, on the Wednesday evening of the mission, all companies will go to Restaurant Bonaparte, a highly reputable French restaurant in Old Montreal, for an evening of networking. They will have the opportunity to dine with high potential buyers and have more in-depth discussions. This evening is organized in collaboration with the Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain and the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, again with the help of Clientis. It is also hoped that these meetings will help to reinforce future partnerships for the Rendez-Vous Acadie-Québec forum, which will take place in Caraquet, NB, in 2024.

These missions are organized thanks to the support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Innovation PEI.
