Barbecuein’ for the bank (the food bank, that is)

WELLINGTON – Oct. 18, 2024 – To celebrate National Food Co-op Day on Friday, October 18, the Wellington Co-op organized a hamburger and hotdog barbecue (with beverages) to feed all visitors between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., free of charge. In exchange, people were invited to make a monetary donation to the West Prince Caring Cupboard food bank (Tyne Valley branch). Several dozen people enjoyed the barbecue and contributed impressive sums. Employee Andrew Fisk was in charge of cooking the food. In the first photo, he is seen serving Patricia Perry and Marcel Arsenault. In the second photo, he is with customer Kelly Campbell on the left and Co-op manager Chris O’Brien.
