WELLINGTON – May 11, 2017 – All Islanders needing funding to start or expand a business are urged to attend a free information session on the $25,000 capital awards being offered by Innovation PEI’s Ignition Fund, Wednesday, May 31, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellington Rural Action Centre.
Business development officer Heather Rossiter will provide information about this program, which is accepting applications until July 14. Applicants will essentially be competing to receive seed money to turn a venture idea into a tangible, viable business.
Applicants must be a start-up in Prince Edward Island or entrepreneur committed to establishing and operating a new for profit venture in Prince Edward Island. Products and/or services developed must have the potential to be sold outside of PEI.
The Wellington Rural Action Centre and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI are jointly hosting this information session. It will be delivered in English if participants are primarily Anglophones or in French if participants are Francophones.
