Employers to learn how to complete Record of Employment form

WELLINGTON – Sept. 15, 2017 – All employers who would like to learn how to complete a Record of Employment (ROE) form are being invited to attend a lunch-and-learn Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m. at the Wellington Rural Action Centre (RAC) at 48 Mill Road, Wellington.

Service Canada, in collaboration with the Wellington RAC and the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI, is offering this session to guide employers through the process of completing a ROE in the recommended order while pointing out some mistakes to avoid.

The session, to be delivered in English, will be facilitated by Edith Ferguson, a citizen service specialist with Service Canada. She has worked with the Employment Insurance program since 1987 in numerous roles, including ROE specialist, providing guidance to employers on completion of the ROE.  She also worked as an Employment Insurance agent so she understands the hardship it can cause employees if the Records of Employment are not completed correctly.

The registration fee is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members. This cost covers the lunch that will be provided; the session itself is free.

All those wishing to attend must register by Sept. 29 with Velma Robichaud at (902) 854-3439, Ext. 228, or velma@rdeeipe.org.
