NORTH RUSTICO – August 11, 2023 – Due to high winds forecast for Saturday, Aug. 12, the Acadian and Francophone Chamber of Commerce of PEI has had to change the date of its fishing excursion with Joey’s Deep-Sea Fishing in North Rustico to Saturday, Aug. 19, still at 1 p.m.

Unfortunately, only 13 of the 20 people originally registered will be able to participate on this new date, so we’re looking for seven more people to come mackerel and cod fishing with us. To register, contact raymond@rdeeipe.org immediately.

The special price for a full boat of 20 people is $920, tax included. So the price per person, if we fill the boat, is $46, regardless of age (compared to the regular prices of $74.75 for adults and $57.50 for children). You’ll have to pay on the spot (with your card or cash). People are asked to arrive at Joey’s Deep Sea Fishing, located this year at 52 Harbourview Dr., in North Rustico (behind Fisherman’s Wharf Lobster Suppers), no later than 12:45 p.m.

The excursion lasts three hours. Everything you need is provided: fishing rods, bait, life jackets, etc. Just bring your own beverages and snacks if you like. We also suggest you bring a jacket in case it gets a bit chilly out at sea, and some kind of hat to protect yourself from the sun. It’s also a good idea to wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting a little dirty or wet.
